Project Description

The project will refurbish and reuse the existing 11,448 Sq Ft County Public Health Office Building. This two-story Spanish Colonial design was renovated in 2005-06, and has remained vacant until the present time. The scope of work includes all net features, services and equipment, new roof, heating, ventilation, air conditioning systems, elevator addition, and code compliance upgrades and systems for ADA electrical, plumbing, and structural seismic strengthening. The Department of Public Works will assist the Chief Executive Office, Venice Family Clinic and the City of Torrance with remodeling and tenant improvements in order to establish a Community Health and Wellness center. The new Community Health and Wellness center will address mental health, preventative health care services. This healthcare addresses pandemic-related care and recovery programs as well.
